  • Prof. Marjolein Visser

    Principle Investigator

    Marjolein Visser is a nutritional scientist and epidemiologist, and professor of Healthy Aging the Department of Health Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research interests are nutritional and other lifestyle determinants of healthy aging. Important research areas are malnutrition, obesity, sarcopenia and depression. She is involved in (inter)national aging cohort studies and conducts lifestyle intervention studies in older adults. She is chair of the standing committee Nutrition of the Health Council of the Netherlands. In the Appetite project she is a work package co-leader of WP1 and WP4.
