  • Dr Susanne Naumann

    Group Leader at Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV

    Susanne Naumann obtained a Master of Science in Technology and Biotechnology of Food of Technical University of Munich. Her PhD work was conducted at ZIEL - Institute for Food and Health of Technical University of Munich in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV. The focus of her PhD work was on the interactions between bile acids and plant compounds with particular reference to the fractionation and processing of lupin seeds. She works as a researcher at Fraunhofer IVV (since 2019) and is responsible for the research group food ingredients (since 2021). She is in key positions in several international projects such as APPETITE. Her main experience is on the targeted fractionation and modification of plant raw materials and food residues to improve their application potentials and to enhance physiological activities.
